Capstone

For my semester-long project, my capstone team was tasked with creating a website, training modules, and promotional material for an in-house podcasting studio called Studio Not Found. The New Media Institute in Collaboration with Terry College’s Entrepreneurship Certificate Program decided that the creation of a podcasting studio located in Journalism 404 would be a wonderful educational tool for UGA students. The mission of Studio Not Found is to drive podcasting engagement on UGA’s campus by teaching students the fundamentals of podcasting and giving them access to industry standard equipment in order to create their own podcasts.
The Studio Not Found Capstone Team was comprised of Emily Petraglia, Alaina O’Regan, Carlton Yarborough, Jane Lian, and myself. Over the course of the Fall 2021 semester, we built a website for Studio Not Found to house the training materials, a reservation system, an announcements page, as well as promotional material for the studio. The training modules are required training about the equipment and softwares used to create a podcast and are a requirement if you want to use Studio Not Found. Reservations can be made once the user completes the training modules. Additionally, any simple questions one might have about the studio can be answered with a quick visit to the Frequently Asked Questions page or the News section of the website. A Twitter and an Instagram page also serve to spread awareness about the studios grand opening. Links to the website as well as all social medias can be found below.
Happy Podcasting!
